FINANCIAL AID Instructions and Deadlines

1. Please complete and send the SSS PFS application and fee to SSS in New Jersey by February 8, 2008.  Before mailing, please make two copies; one for your personal files and one for the Villa Admission Office.  You may also submit your form online at http://www.nais.org/financialaid/sss.  It will take 3-4 weeks before Villa receives a reportof SSS’s calculations if you submit the form by mail, approximately one week if you submit the form electronically.
   
   
2. In the case of divorced, separated, or never married parents, both parents are required to submit information to SSS and the school.  It is the responsibility of the parent initiating the aid application to request the appropriate forms for both parties. 
   
   
3. By March 3, 2008, please submit a signed copy of your 2006 and 2007 Federal Income Tax Returns (form 1040) along with all W-2 forms and any supporting schedules to the Villa Admission Office.  If not previously submitted, please also send the copy of the PFS form you mailed to SSS in New Jersey.
   
   
4. If you own your own business, please request a Business and Farm Statement form from the Admission Office and be prepared to submit a copy of your corporate taxes and schedules by the March 3, 2008 deadline.
   
   
5. Please complete lines 1-4 and sign IRS form 4506.  Please return the form to the Villa Admission Office along with your tax information by March 3, 2008. In the event that Villa Academy needs to submit form 4506 to the IRS, Villa Academy will pay the fee.
   
   
6. It is important that the above dates be respected so that we can award assistance in a timely fashion.  Without the required documentation, we are unable to make an award.  Notification regarding your award status will either be sent with admission decisions in March (applicant families) or in early May (returning families).
