Villa Athletics

Villa Academy participates in the Archdiocese of Seattle, Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) athletic program. Interscholastic sports include soccer, cross-country, basketball, volleyball, track & field for both boys and girls, and boy’s baseball.

In addition, Villa Academy’s coeducational Ultimate Frisbee team competes against other teams in the Disc Northwest Middle School Leagues in the Spring. Please see below for more details.

Following is the 2009/2010 season schedule for the team sports in which Villa Students participate:

Track & Field

Registration due: May 5, 2010
Open to students in 4th-8th grades
Practices: 3 days per week

Season: May 1 – 22
This season has three regular season meets, one Individual Championship meet, and one Team Championship meet.

Ultimate Frisbee (Club sport - not CYO)
Registration closed.
Open to students in 6th through 8th grades
Practices: 2 times per week
Season: Mar 14 – May 15

Volleyball

Registration due: TBA 2011

Open to students in 5th-8th grades

Practices: 1 – 2 times per week

Season: Feb - Mar

Playoffs: TBA

Baseball

Registration due: TBA 2011

Open to students in 4th-8th grades

Practices: No team this year

Season: Mar - May

Playoffs: TBA

Soccer

Registration due: August 12th, 2010

Open to students in 1st-3rd grades

2010 Season: Sept - Oct

Open to students in 4th-8th grade

Practices: 1 – 2 times per week

2010 Season: Sept – Nov

Playoffs: TBA

Basketball

Registration due: TBA 2010

Open to students in 4th-8th grades

Practices: 1 – 2 times per week

2010 Season: Nov - Jan

Playoffs: TBA

Cross Country

Registration due: TBA 2010

Open to students in K-8th grades

Practices: Four available times per week

2010 Season: Sept - Oct

This season has two regular season meets, one K-3rd Final meet, and one 4th–8th Championship meet.

 

 

Volunteers coach all sports and all interested students are encouraged to participate.
