Advancement Events at Villa

Every September we welcome the new school year and the entire Villa Community to the Mother Cabrini Italian Dinner—a long tradition at our school.

About 400 hearty pasta meals are served, and adults enjoy a glass of vino while they mingle with other parents.

Kids have a great time choosing between face painting, carnival games, bouncy house, and running around on the playground.

October is the month for VillaNOW Day, a special morning event to focus on Annual Giving.

We make it so easy to give. Drive Through Donations enable parents to drop off their donation when they drop off their kids...and never get out of the car! We hand out “thanks a lattes” in return.

Last year, over $60,000 was raised in just one hour—a great “bump” for the fall’s Annual Giving effort.

An all-school event early in December that kicks off the Christmas season at Villa, Illuminata is a special evening!

Entire families come to see the Villa building lit up at night, to walk pathways aglow with luminaries, and to enjoy a concert by our concert band, strings orchestra, choir, and handbells.

The concert is capped off with a carol sing along, hot cocoa and cookies, and visits to Santa. An evening not to be missed!

We love grandparents and grandfriends! Each May, we welcome over 350 visitors for this heart-warming day.

A beautiful mass, a concert under our covered play area, refreshments, tours of the school, photos—and of course time spent with “their” kids—all celebrate the special connection between grandparents, grandfriends and our students.

Grandparents and grandkids

As their 8th graders prepare to graduate from Villa, the 8th Grade Parent Lunch is our way of thanking families who have supported Villa and been a part of our community, often for 12 years—or even more, for parents with multiple children.

Leaving Villa can be bittersweet: with each child who graduates, we recognize that in many ways, the parents graduate, too, often leaving a community they know so well.

The lunch is also our opportunity to especially acknowledge those parents whose last child is graduating, and hear them reflect on what Villa has meant to their family over the years.

When Villa Alumni graduate from high school, we invite them (and their parents) back for a reunion before they head off to college.

It’s a chance to munch on pizza, greet old friends, and tour the Villa campus once again; all while the parents have an opportunity to socialize and catch up with their fellow alum parents.
