Preschoolers and their families participated in our first annual Water for Life Walk this Wednesday on campus. Parents joined their students on a walk down to the lakefront, where students then took their own water "vessels" to collect and carry water up from the lake. In the words of Preschool Lead Jenny Romischer, "By talking and exploring the importance of water, children are beginning to grasp the idea of water scarcity. Understanding how different life would be without access to clean water helps to widen the lens of their worldview". The project raised well over $1500 for Charity:Water, a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Way to go little Vikings!
