Villa Chess Champions

The Villa Knights Chess Team attended the Washington State Chess Championship recently and the players had a great time competing with students from all over the state.

Over a hundred volunteers, big and small, turned out on a beautiful Saturday last week for Stewardship Day. They weeded, they dug, they prepped garden beds, they liberating shrubs and other native plants from encroaching invasives. They even sawed, drilled and nailed as they made progress on the covered meeting space.

“She wouldn’t play with me at recess today.” “I don’t have anyone to play with.” “He played with someone else today and not with me.” “I never get to choose the game we play at recess.”
