Before and After School Care:

Villa Academy offers two before and after school care programs: VillaCare for lower school students (K-5)

and MidWay for middle school students.

Students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade may

take advantage of these programs on either a regularly scheduled or drop-in basis.

Our mission is to provide safe, stimulating, and enjoyable experiences outside of the classroom in support of the school’s mission to develop the whole child.

VillaCare
For Lower School Students (Grades K-5)


Known as VillaCare, Villa Academy’s before and after school care program for Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students is licensed by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.

VillaCare offers a warm and inviting space, a friendly and professional staff, and a schedule that supports student success in school – academically, socially, and physically. Each day, we strive to provide a balance between individual and group activities, quiet study time, and recreational opportunities.

Before school hours: 7:00 – 8:20 am

After school hours: 3:00 – 6:00 pm (2:15 pm start time on Wednesdays)

General afternoon schedule:
2:50 to 3:15 PM Check-in/snack
3:15 to 4:00 PM Outdoor play
4:00 to 4:30 PM Quiet time for homework or rest
4:30 to 5:00 PM Small group activity
5:00 to 6:00 PM Clean-up/ free time/ checkout

 

EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM

Villa Academy’s Extended Day Program (EDP) provides safe, stimulating, and enjoyable experiences outside of the classroom in support of the school’s mission to develop the whole child.

With programs for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, EDP at Villa includes enriching, before and after school classes, clubs, sports, and performing arts opportunities, as well as licensed before and after school care for lower and middle school students (K-8).

Enrichment Programs

Villa Academy’s Extended Day Program organizes a range of co-curricular, enrichment opportunities each trimester for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Classes typically run for a 5-8 week period and serve a variety of age levels and interests.

A sampling of recent classes includes chess, musical theater, ceramics, science, jump rope, and sewing.

In addition to enrichment classes, students at various age levels may participate in clubs, the performing arts, and team sports

MidWay
For Middle School Students (Grades 6-8)


MidWay provides a safe community where Middle School students can begin to exercise choice while developing their sense of personal responsibility. After school, MidWay provides homework time as well as optional creative, recreational, and community service activities, occasional walking field trips, and time to relax with friends.

After school hours: 3:00 – 6:00 pm (2:15 pm start time on Wednesdays)
