Reinemund Counseling
& Wellness Center

Applying to Villa

Here at Villa, we know that our students thrive academically when we purposefully engage in education of the heart.

Having first opened its doors in Fall 2022, the Reinemund Counseling & Wellness Center serves as an invaluable resource to the entire Villa community. Its primary focus is to support the needs of our students by offering time and space for children to navigate their experiences with the help of trusted, skilled professionals. However, Villa families are similarly supported through a host of offerings: monthly Counselor Coffees, parenting classes, special guest speakers, and more. Additionally, the Reinemund Center enriches the professional lives of Villa faculty and staff by providing continuing student support education through workshops and trainings across the year.

Mental Health Matters

Named in honor of Steven S Reinemund Jr., a Villa Academy parent and dedicated volunteer who passed away in 2021, the Reinemund Counseling and Wellness Center was founded to support students’ growth as emotionally intelligent young people prepared to face the challenges and joys of life, both now and into the future.

Intentional cultivation of students’ social-emotional intelligence strengthens and enriches their scholarly learning, as well as their capacity to be compassionate, engaged community members.

Parent Education Classes

Parents are warmly welcomed to participate in our comprehensive parenting education classes. These courses are thoughtfully tailored to address the specific age and developmental requirements of each parent's child. We offer a range of engaging options, including the renowned Positive Discipline class inspired by Jane Nelson, which equips parents with effective strategies to foster respectful and collaborative relationships with their children. Additionally, our Parenting Teenagers Class, inspired by the work of Nick and Sila Lee, provides invaluable insights and tools to navigate the unique challenges and joys of raising adolescents. We believe that investing in these educational opportunities empowers parents to create a nurturing and harmonious environment at home, fostering strong connections and lifelong learning.

Our Cabrinian model of education balances academic challenge with character development steeped in values of service, justice, critical thinking, and effecting positive change—and we help our students put those values into practice by creating real-world connections to our greater community.
