Villa Academy's Strategic Plan

The Villa Academy Board of Trustees is proud to share Growth, Service, & Purpose: Villa Academy’s Strategic Plan. As the school stands on the precipice of its second century of existence, Villa looks forward to a bright and inspiring future. In November 2022, Villa’s Board unanimously approved a new mission statement that both conveys the school’s identity and ignites a promising vision of tomorrow:

Villa Academy is an inclusive independent school community dedicated to developing the whole child in the Cabrinian tradition of “education of the heart.” Through dynamic, inquiry-based learning, Villa students become active agents of their own intellectual growth in preparation for lives of service and purpose.Energized by this inspiring mission, a task force of dedicated community members commenced to develop a plan in support of the school’s immediate and future needs. The resulting plan, Growth, Service, & Purpose has been designed to support the entire Villa community–students, faculty, staff, families, and graduates–in embracing and living Villa Academy’s mission.

Identity & Program

Villa Academy will define, refine, and clearly articulate its curricular and co-curricular program in order to fully deliver upon its mission. In doing so, Villa will become the independent school destination for inquiry-based, whole child “education of the heart” in the greater Seattle area.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice, & Belonging (DEIJB)

Villa Academy will be a community that celebrates, honors, and reflects the rich diversity of the greater Seattle area across its students, families, faculty and staff. The school strives to facilitate a culture of genuine belonging at Villa.
