Due to the continued unhealthy air quality in Seattle, Villa Academy's campus will be closed to all students through Friday, September 18, 2020.
There will be no preschool classes on campus and the supervised on-line instruction for students through the EDP program will not meet on campus.

On-line instruction will take place as previously planned and faculty/staff members will be allowed to use their Villa Academy classroom, if necessary, to provide on-line instruction.

Early Learning for Ages 3 - 5

Every day, the joy and wonder of learning is alive at Villa. Children have a natural curiosity to discover and explore; where their need to do, to know, and to understand drives our educational process. In small classes with the individual support of talented teachers, our Preschool students take on exciting new challenges in an atmosphere of creativity, cooperation and fun. And with each new accomplishment, confidence and independence emerge.

What Parents Say

Outdoor Learning Spotlight:
Forest School

Villa's preschool students participate each week in Forest School, an in-depth nature experience for our youngest students. Part of our 31 acre campus, the Villa Forest is intentionally underdeveloped, and rich with old growth trees, native plants, and the habitat niches of mammals, insects and birds.

With their teachers as guides, excited students:

  • Track ground animals and construct habitat
  • Learn about important trees like Douglas firs
  • Grow in motor strength and coordination on hikes
  • Bond and take care of each other “in the wild”
  • Develop resilience during “bumps in the road”
