Head of School Update: Nov 19, 2020
Dear Friends,
Mindful of Washington State's recently announced COVID-19 Guidance (November 15, 2020) and Travel Advisory (November 13, 2020), I
need a current and accurate understanding—from everyone in the Villa community—of their family's travel plans over the next eight weeks.
Governor Inslee's COVID-19 Guidance included the following directive: “Indoor social gatherings with people from outside your household
are prohibited unless they (a) quarantine for fourteen days (14) prior to the social gathering; or (b) quarantine for seven (7) days prior
to the social gathering and receive a negative COVID19 test result no more than 48-hours prior to the gathering. A household is defined as
individuals residing in the same domicile.”
Governor Inslee's Travel Advisory included this directive: "Persons arriving in Washington from other states or countries, including
returning Washington residents, should practice self-quarantine for 14 days after arrival."
To help my colleagues and me plan for December & January - usually, a peak travel time for Villa families - I need to have
some visibility of our families' plans.
Observing the Governor's directives for those who plan to travel will impact the number of children who would be on campus before
Christmas, and in January.
This brief
survey is
completely anonymous; right
now, I don't need to know who's traveling (that should be covered by the mandatory student Leave of Absence Form); I only
need to know if you are planning to travel and/or are planning to gather with "people outside your household..."
Everyone's honest input is important. The greater the participation rate in this survey, the better "picture" my colleagues and I
will have to develop the most effective plans for the common good.
Please complete and submit this
survey before
8:00 AM on Monday, November 23, 2020.
I appreciate everyone's cooperation and the partnership that exists between Villa Academy and our families. It's important and it makes a
difference!
