2nd Victory in a Row for Villa Spelling Bee Champ

2nd Victory in a Row for Villa Spelling Bee Champ

For the second year in a row, 7th grade student Allie S. has won the Scripps Spelling Bee. Among the words she and her fellow competitors faced were "antennas," "disinfectant," "mulish,” “cannonade,” and “Louisiana.” Allie held her own and was the last participant standing, correctly spelling "diaphoresis." (that means "profuse sweating" in case you were wondering.)

Allie will be competing in the Scripps King and Snohomish County Bee on 2/29 at 1:00 p.m. at Town Hall in Seattle. Iman G., took 2nd place and will be the alternate.

Congratulations to Allie, Iman, and a great group of participants!
