Due to the continued unhealthy air quality in Seattle, Villa Academy's campus will be closed to all students through Friday, September 18, 2020.
There will be no preschool classes on campus and the supervised on-line instruction for students through the EDP program will not meet on campus.

On-line instruction will take place as previously planned and faculty/staff members will be allowed to use their Villa Academy classroom, if necessary, to provide on-line instruction.

Community Connection

At Villa Academy, our longstanding and most-loved community traditions are an important part of school life. They hold special meaning for students, their families, and our faculty and staff. In their roles as leaders of the school, 8th graders play significant parts in the success of school events.

Every September we welcome the new school year and the entire Villa Community to the Mother Cabrini Italian Dinner. After a hearty meal served by 8th grade volunteers, parents mingle while kids take part in carnival games, face painting, and bouncy house.

Led by the Head of School, pirates, princesses and ghosts parade through the entire school with parents lining the halls. Many of our older students even match costumes with their younger student buddies. Post parade, the whole school gathers for a Halloween assembly—and dancing to the Monster Mash!

Illuminata kicks off the Christmas season with this evening event. Entire families come to see the Villa building decked out in lights, walk pathways aglow with luminaries, and enjoy a concert by our student musicians. Afterward, there’s carol singing, cocoa and cookies, and visits to Santa.

Emceed by the 8th grade class, the Villa Talent Show includes everything from joke-telling, to song and dance, to gymnastics, to instrumentals. With every act enthusiastically cheered on by the entire student body and parent audience, it’s a great confidence-building experience for our talented performers!

Each May, we welcome over 350 visitors to celebrate the special connection between grandparents, grandfriends and our students. This beautiful day includes a dedicated mass, outdoor concert, classroom visits and activities, school tours, photos, and refreshments.

Who will win this year? With graduation close at hand, 8th graders take their last “shot” in this spirited competition with faculty. K-8 students pack the gym, wave hand-made posters, and root for their favorite team in this fun, lighthearted event.

Stewardship Days are held twice a year in the fall and spring: families, faculty, and staff gather together for an afternoon of campus TLC. Lots of fun is included in the festival-like atmosphere: sack races, face painting, art projects, music and more!
