Villa Academy is actively working towards purchasing a parcel of land directly from the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in partnership with our Board of Trustees. We are optimistic during this process as history sets precedent for a purchase like this. Before 2007, Villa Academy leased 100% of our property. Through the support from a dedicated and inspiring group of parents and fundraising initiatives, in 2007 we purchased and to this day maintain direct ownership of the land in which all our core facilities are located, including the Preschool, K-8 school buildings, gymnasium, multipurpose field, playground, and west lawn. It's incredible once again to have the opportunity to purchase additional acres that will secure Villa's commitment to educational excellence for years and years to come.
Embarking on this exciting endeavor cannot be understated and is a call to action for community engagement. In this watershed moment, we have the chance to come together and achieve more for our beloved school, always working toward Villa's bright future while anchored by the confidence in our exceptional learning experience of today. Our commitment to excellence in whole-child education—grounded in fostering compassionate hearts and confident minds for our current and future students—remains unchanged.
Please direct any questions or queries to landsale@thevilla.org. Thank you for your continued support during this time.
Villa exists in its current form today because our predecessors took action on a dream of which we are the beneficiaries. It is now our community’s turn to continue the legacy for other generations to follow. Your support affords us the incredible opportunity to ensure that our commitment to excellence in whole-child education remains enriched by additional permanent outdoor education experiences, and our affordability is a question of that power, not simply a parcel.
The Land Task Force, serving as our trusted stewards, will leverage the total donation in Villa's best financial interests. This is an exciting opportunity, and we invite each family to help show our strength of commitment to the Sisters—knowing that what we do together today will set the stage for current and future Villa students for generations to come.
Villa exists in its current form today because our predecessors took action on a dream of which we are the beneficiaries. It is now our community’s turn to continue the legacy for other generations to follow. Through conversations with major donors and the support of the Board of Trustees, our initial fundraising efforts to support a proposal to the Sisters are off to a great start!
We want to build on this wonderful momentum and invite each family to have the opportunity to make a difference for our students and show our strength of commitment to the Sisters.
Expanding upon Villa's property line is contingent upon the collective power of our generous community's participation—every dollar counts as much as everyone's involvement.
