When you label your students' items with first & last names, we can return those items to you should they end up in the Lost and Found!
WHAT SHOULD WE LABEL?
Label EVERYTHING, including:
HOW TO ADD LABELS?
You can purchase pre-made labels or use a laundry-proof marker. Please write legibly and include your child's FIRST and LAST name! Using items from the Uniform Exchange? Be sure to cross out or remove previous owners’ names before adding your own.
WHAT HAPPENS TO LABELED ITEMS?
If we can read the label as written, we'll deliver items to the owner's classroom, and to advisory for middle school. 6th grade students and adult volunteers make weekly deliveries.
WHAT HAPPENS TO UNLABELED ITEMS?
Please note: we consider an item to be unlabeled if we cannot decipher the name (trust us, we try very hard!).
WHEN IS THE "LAST CHANCE" OPPORTUNITY?
Several times a year, we display unclaimed Lost and Found items. Look for notification in The Weekly.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP?
Although we have 6th grade student volunteers, parent volunteers are still occasionally needed. If you're interested in being on a notification list to help as the need arises, please Contact Tonya Shum.
Thank you!
