Due to the continued unhealthy air quality in Seattle, Villa Academy's campus will be closed to all students through Friday, September 18, 2020.
There will be no preschool classes on campus and the supervised on-line instruction for students through the EDP program will not meet on campus.

On-line instruction will take place as previously planned and faculty/staff members will be allowed to use their Villa Academy classroom, if necessary, to provide on-line instruction.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Villa Academy stands for the respect of all human dignity in the spirit of our founder, St. Frances Xavier Cabrini. At the root of all community experiences is our Catholic tradition of faith-centered justice; teachers and students commit to affirming the importance of diversity and inclusion in order to expand our communal vision of a more just world.

Equity & Inclusion Virtual Speaker Series

Social Justice Education

From Expression to Awareness to Advocacy, our emphasis on social justice is woven throughout our curriculum—preschool through middle school. On an age-appropriate continuum, students:

  • Celebrate diversity as they learn about the history, traditions, and art of various cultures.
  • Deeply engage with topics including racism, disability rights, food injustice, and environmental issues.
  • Express their emotions about difficult social justice issues through a special focus on the arts: painting, collage-making, poetry, playwriting, modern dance, and hip-hop.
